All our comb honeys are grown in their beehives by our beekeepers. At honeydirect.nl we carefully choose the beekeepers with whom we work in order to offer our customers the best possible quality honey.
Our honeycomb is a very popular seasonal product. Because not much honeycomb is harvested every year, our stock is limited. We therefore advise customers to order quickly because when it comes to our delicious honeycomb, gone = gone .

How is the honeycomb made?

Honeycomb is 100 percent produced by worker bees . This is also called wax sweating among beekeepers. This always happens in the familiar shape, the hexagon. This is admirably the most solid form, we humans use it for many constructions, such as filling interior doors.
When a honeycomb is complete and clean, it will be richly filled with real honey . When the moisture content of the honey is below 20%, a wax seal will appear. This wax seal ensures that no air enters.

To allow our customers to enjoy our honeycomb to the fullest, we let the bees pull up all the comb themselves. This makes the beeswax very thin and always fresh. Chewing is even easier on a fresh and thinner layer of wax, so you enjoy the delicious taste of pure honey even more.

All our products are obtained in a natural and unprocessed way. This means that we only purchase honey if the bee colony has built up a stock. In addition, we guarantee the purity of this beautiful natural product by not adding any fragrance, coloring and/or flavoring agent.
